For decades the Maldives have known to be the millionaires’ paradise. Ever since 2009, the Maldivian government opened up the local islands for tourism so that the locals could benefit from it which has been a game changer. Now you can travel to the Maldives just like you would any other islands in Asia or around the world. Here are a bunch of photos from my local island hopping trip in the Maldives to convince you to push it up on your bucket list.
Yes, the Maldives are for real and can be done without burning a hole in your pocket.

Oct 16, 2018Amazing pictures Shraddha. How did you manage to capture them on your solo trip? I’m always so conscious about asking people to click pictures for me. Inspires me to visit Maldives soon. Also your blog made me change my conception about Maldives being just a honeymoon’s paradise. I can’t swim would scuba diving still be an option for me? Btw Happy Bday 🙂

Oct 25, 2018Hi Tanaya,
Thank you for your wishes. Im glad you are motivated to visit the Maldives, it is definitely more than just a honeymoon destination. You can totally go diving even if you don’t know how to swim as you will always have a BCD on which acts a float when you inflate it on the surface. Don’t be shy of asking for help you can always offer to take their photo in return.Or then carry a tripod. 🙂
